Word Form vs Outlook Form

I have created a form in Word via the forms toolbar, specifically "text form
field." I would like to be able to send that form as an e-mail so that the
receiver does not have to open an attachement and respond to the form. Whe I
copy the form from Word into Outlook, the form fields do not transfer.

I believe Outlook uses the word "form" to mean something different than in
Word, but is there a way to get my form fields to transfer to an Outlook
e-mail? Thanks!

No. Outlook custom forms and Word documents that use form elements are quite different animals.

The question you didn't answer is, Who are these recipients? Are they internal or external to your organization?

It is to simply a process between us and a vendor...however, the vendor has
an internal e-mail address.

Whether an Outlook form is going to be workable depends on a lot of factors:

-- Do they access their mail with OUtlook?
-- Do they access their address on your system with Exchange, POP or IMAP?
-- Does your Exchange server block outgoing RTF content?

The page at http://www.outlookcode.com/d/sendform.htm will give you some background on these issues.

Since you've already designed the Word form, sending that document to the vendor for them to fill out and return to you might be the easiest solution.
