Hi Mickey,
| when i play games, i get a green and blue box in the middle of the screen called a Resolution Notice indicating for best picture
quality change to 1024x768 resolution, and options to press #1 to exit or #2 to disable, neither of which works. the resolution is
already set at 1024x768, and the box appears incessantly for several seconds then goes away whether i press 1 or 2. i spent hours
last night with hp instant help, they had me try numerous things, nothing worked. anyone have any ideas or encountered this
problem?
Well, that's not a Windows XP error message, or at least not one that I'm
aware of, and it's not a message from your games since you're getting that
same message from all your games if I understand your post correctly, therefore:
1. If the games are all by the same manufacturer, check their FAQ about the error
2. To see if it's a software conflict: Temporarily disable Startup
programs one at a time, starting with Firewall, Antivirus, and ad
blockers using:
http://new.jtsoft2001.com/windows/startup.php
3. Update DirectX and your Chipset, Sound, &Video Drivers:
For all Video / DirectX / Game and Hardware Issues, I have a
