Gang:
I have a slightly unusual request. I have a friend who has 3 PC's -
his, his wife's, and one they are using as a file server.
The are using Netzero's paid service for e-mail. They both share one
e-mail account (this is something I do not understand but they want it
this way). They would like a way that they both can use the same e-mail
account from two different machines, WITHOUT using the web interface.
Now my first thought was to have the third machine hold the
mailbox/folders and have Outlook Express (the client they both use) pop
the mail to those folders and have them both map to those folders to
read it. I am not sure if that is possible though. I would have to
research.
The next option I thought of was to have a freeware mail server pop the
mail from their ISP (they have DSL) every 10 minutes or so and store it
locally on the fileserver and use IMAP (?) for both clients to retrieve
the mail.
I just need a simple / free solution. I do not want mail lost and they
tend to get a lot.
Any advice is appreciated.

Did you hear the one about the dyslexic, agnostic, insomniac?
He had trouble sleeping at night, wondering if there was a dog.
