Real ALternative Weirdness

Anyone ever had problems with Real Alternative rendering .rm files? We
have a group video made at work many years ago and the group that did it,
encoded it in Real Media (.rm) format. Looks like RM 2 codecs, and Real
Alt will play the sound but not the video...Media Player Classic gives the
warning that it cannot render the video.

I bit the bullet and deinstalled RA and cleaned the registry. Rebooted and
installed Real Player. IT would not play it.

Anyone ever seen that happen before?

Did you hear the one about the dyslexic, agnostic, insomniac?
He would stay up late every night and wonder if there was a dog.

only if you don't have the proper codec for the video file, which
appears to be your case.

Well, the latest version of Real Player did not have the codecs either, so
it tried to download them. It stated it was a success, but the video
still does not play. I know it is a codec problem, I was just wondering
if anyone else had run into this problem before.
