I had problems with XP Pro rebooting before completely loading. Replaced
power supply then tried running "repair" function from cd. Would not
complete, so I replaced memory and then repair completed. Now I have the
following errors in events/system.

The DCOM Server process Launcher service hung on starting.

The Automatic LiveUpdate Scheduler service failed to start due to the
following error:
The system cannot find the file specified.

The Security Center service failed to start due to the following error:
The executable program that this service is configured to run in does not
implement the service.

The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load:
FltMgr

The HTTP service failed to start due to the following error:
The specified procedure could not be found.

The SSDP Discovery Service service depends on the HTTP service which failed
to start because of the following error:
The specified prcedure could not be found.

EMMETT,

Check the services:

START | RUN | type 'services.msc' & press ENTER

Automatic updates uses a SVCHOST.EVE located in C:\Windows\System32
presuming that 'c:\' is where Windows is located

Both DCOM & Autoupdates are using the same 'svchost.exe', but Automatic
Updates has its own service & also make sure the Background Intelligent
Transfer Service (BITS) is also running

Report back please

Hey Newbie Coder,
Thanks for reply. The machines at work and I won't get back to until
Monday. I know where to find services but don't know exactly how to repair
issue. I assume my slow start is "DCOM Service Process Launcher" hanging -
but what can I do to fix? And what do I do about the other errors such as
"HTTP" issue when "procedure cannot be found"?
