repost re. Flash & SVG

Not sure if I'm actually posting. If there are no views on this, please
could someone confirm it's on the ng?

Thanks!...

Apologies if these matters have been discussed already - I have searched and
found no mention.

I would appreciate comments on a couple of (what seem exciting) things I
have just come across during after-hours surfing!

1. http://www.globfx.com/products/swfpoint/ (free) is what seems like a
foolproof plug-in that removes all the ActiveX hassle of getting Flash into
PowerPoint. I was managing ok (especially with the help of 'Flashback') but
this seems perfect.

2. http://www.globfx.com/products/swfchart/compare.php ($300) is a chart
generation program with what seems like good integration with PowerPoint -
generating animated charts as Flash or SVG files with still images as BMP,
PNG or JPG. I'm looking at the evaluation version which can't actually
save, so I can't see the end results in PowerPoint - would like to know how
good it is if anyone has actually bought it - I'm pretty sure a chart can't
be edited once it's in PowerPoint, although that would be ideal.

3. SVG in PowerPoint. It seems like the routine for doing this is the same
as for Flash files (as gleaned from an Indezine.com article). Is anyone
using SVG in PowerPoint and what are the pros and cons, particularly
compared with Flash...

Many thanks for anyone's thoughts!

Regards,

Thanks TAJ.

I was a little surprised to get no feedback - especially on the SVG queries.
I'll experiment and see how I get on.

Andrew
