Report width greater than Page width problem

David

I made a change to a report and now I'm getting a message:

"section width greater than page width and there are no
items in the additional space so some pages may be blank"

I have no idea what this means, how it happened or how to
cure it. I looked in HELP to no avail.
Where is the section width, page width and report width
defined ?? Any help appreciated.

You can see how wide the pages are on the Report Design screen, and also in
Page Setup which you reach from the File menu in Report Design, along with
the page size to which it is intended to be printed -- if nowhere else, in
Page Setup choose Printer and Properties.

Your page width is defined in Page Setup, Margins tab.
After you set the margins, make sure your report area
doesn't exceed it. For Example, if you have 1" margins on
both the left and right, your report area can't be wider
than 6 1/2 inches (1 inch of margin on each side=2 inches,
plus 6 1/2 for data = 8 1/2 Total).

Hope this helps.
