When I click reply to a topic I have hilited in a newsgroup a page comes up
which says internet explorer cannot open the page OR a 'sign in to hotmail'
appears
Any help so I can reply to newsgroups?

Grampy, the headers for this post indicate you are using Outlook
Express. If you are replying to someone's post, you need to click on
Reply Group, not on Reply.

You may want to try 01alt.test for your tests if your ISP has access to alt (there's many other testing groups in alt also). That way you don't bother/offend folks in an active newsgroup.
