reply-to font works sometimes

Using Outlook 2000 on WinXP, open a new unread message and
reply, everything fine. Open an old message, and reply,
it does not use the "reply to" font selected.
NOT using Word as email editor.
Any ideas what is going on?

figured it out- depends on original message- plain text,
RTF, or HTML. Does the current version of Outlook still
do that? It seems sensless and useless, can't pretty
much all email clients read RTF and HTML these days? Even
though they might send in plain text?
