Reply messages are appearing at the bottom of message

I have a friend who I communicate on Outlook email. All of the response
message appear at the bottom of the prior messages rather than in a
chronologic order starting with the most recent message from the top. What
setting in Outlook is wrong? How do you make Outlook have all messages and
responses appear from the top down in chronologic order with the latest
message appearing from top to bottom?

Are you talking about *in* the message itself, or in the list of messages?

If you are talking about *in* the message itself, there's nothing you can do
to affect that, it is the formatting that the user does by replying below
the original message (as I am doing here, which is a usenet standard).

If you're talking about the message list, is it only this one user whose
messages are in the wrong order in the folder?
