Replacement for Distribution List

As i read through the fourm I see where some of the MVP have suggested not
using distribution list but they did not include what methods should be used
in place of distribution list. I currently use OL 2007 and have a few
distribution list where the size of the list ranges from 5-200. In some cases
the contact in the DL only exist within the DL and in other cases they are
also in my address book.

What is a better method and where do I get more information?

I'm not sure what posts you are reading - but we have recommended using
categories to create a "dynamic distribution list". To use it, group by
category and select the category you want to use, then Actions, New message
to contact.

This has two benefits:
1. if you need to change a contact, you don't need to update the DL
2. removing a member of the "dl" is as simple as removing the category from
the contact.
