replaced uxtheme.dll keeps reverting....??

Tried StyleXP from TGTSoft, and found a style I liked. As I didn't actually
need(/want) the 'program interface' that comes with StyleXP, a quick look at
the instructions seemed to suggest that the 'free' replacement "uxtheme.dll"
would suite my needs. So, uninstalled StyleXP, downloaded the patched
uxtheme.dll and installed as per instructions. No problems - until a couple
of days later, when the selected style disappeared, and "Display
Properties" -> "Appearance" only showed the original 2 (MS) Styles availale.
Went through the process of replacing uxtheme.dll again, and all sorted -
for a day or two, and now back to original 2 (MS) styles again. All the
"msstyles" and Shell files are still in "..system32\resourses...." - any
idea what's going on? Is it likely that TGTSoft has left something
installed that keeps "cleaning up" the patched file and replacing it with
the original??

Thanks,

P.

You should probably ask TGTSoft that question. Email them here:
(e-mail address removed)

They will probably tell you that they provide no support with the free
hacked UxTheme.dll.
