Repetitive Error Events in Application Event Viewer

P

Peldi

A little background: I have had numerous problems with my Win XP Pro (SP3) PC
locking up when Windows starts up. Typically, the symptom is that it looks
like it is going to start up fine, but then, it just locks up and won't come
back. If I shut it off and turn it back on, it sometimes comes back fine,
but other times the registry is corrupted and I have to recover.

Today, after I got the system up and running again, I noticed that four
Error Events are repeated every time I boot the PC. The source for all four
is userenv and the IDs are 1511, 1515, 1510, 1508. The user for the first
three is LOCAL SERVICE but it is SYSTEM for 1508.

I poked around on-line and was not able to find out what might be causing
the events. They seem to be related to user profiles and the registry hive,
but I am not sure what to do.

Any ideas?
