Repaired Windows

I had a missing file Winnt\Sytem32\Config\Systemced is
missing and used my repair discs to recover. I have lost
all my user stuff along with my programs. I have
discovered an old 3/04 backup of my Registry. Would I get
into big problems If I restored this?

Thank for responding!

No I don't think so. I used the 4 Windows discs I created
way back when and then I had to create a "Windows 2000
Emergancy Repair Disc" from another computer to make the
recovery happen.

This would have been rather easy to repair but may not be recoverable now.
You probably replaced the registry with files from the rime of the original
install hence there are no installed programs. Also note that ERD's are
machine specific.
