Repair XP with SP2?

I have slipstreamed my copy of Xp Pro with SP2 as per

It worked because it installed fine.

If I should ever need to do a "repair" install of XP, can I use the new
slipstreamed CD without wiping out updates and service pack 2? (They would
be wiped out if I did a repair with the original XP disk.)

Has anyone tried it?

Hi

Yes, you should be able to use the slipstreamed SP2 CD to Repair XP.
Although I haven't used that particular method to create a slipstreamed SP2
CD.

You should be able to do the repair successfully. All that XP "truely"
knows is that the CP has the SP2 updates included. However, anny/all
updates after the SP2 release may have to be re-done (unless SP2a etc..
comes out).

Yes - that is the idea of making a slipstreamed copy
