Renaming a network place

When I rename a network place, once I log out of windows and log back on,
there are now two connections to that location. One with the new name and
the other with the new name and the IP address. How do I only have the one
connection showing with the name only, not the IP Address. I like things
neat!!

Right-click and delete the one you don't want.

I have tried that many times, and the connection with the IP address comes
back. I delete it couple times a week. Very wierd!

Right-click and delete the one you don't want.
