Removing watermarks in Word

I can't seem to remove the watermark I put in a Word document. I did the
"format" "background" "printed watermark" "no printed watermark" but the darn
thing is still there. Help

In Word 2003 or earlier, click on View | Header and Footer. Click on
the watermark to select it, press the Delete key to delete the selected
object, and click on Close.
