Removing unnecessary backup domain controllers

Hi,

I have two offline NT backup domain controllers that I took offline before I
did an in-place upgrade to my NT domain to Windows 2000 AD.

These machines have not been connected to the network after the upgrade
process.

Now my AD has been running with no problems about a month and I'd like to
remove these unnecessary domain controller accounts from the ad database.

Is there something else that should be done or can I just delete the
accounts from the domain controllers OU? Should I delete the accounts using
Winnt Server Server Manager?

Use tip 5385 in the 'Tips & Tricks' at http://www.jsiinc.com to delete any
associated NTDS Settings and then use Active Directory Users and Computers to
delete the machine account.

Thanks. But I can not see any associated ntds settings for those machines. I
think that is because they are NT 4.0 backup domain controllers and
therefore they do not participate with AD replication. I'm running a mixed
mode domain with about three alive NT 4 BDCs.

The two offline bdc's in question have not been connected to the network
after the dcpromo process.
