Removing uninstall backups.

I posted this question a few minutes ago. It appeared and
then disappeared.

Is it safe to remove the Uninstall folders/files that are
placed in my Windows directory after every Update? These
are eating my hard drive capacity up, and I could use the
space. If it IS safe to do so, HOW do you do it?

Thanks in Advance.

If you wish to safely remove the "uninstall files" for the
Hotfixes (i.e. $NtUninstallQxxxxxx$ files shown in Windows Explorer)
and cleanup your Add/Remove Programs list, visit MS-MVP Doug Knox's
excellent website for instructions.

Note: Doug's program only removes the uninstall files and Hotfix entries
in the Add/Remove Programs listing. It does not remove the
actual updates.
