How can I remove password protection from a document I have created? I still
have the password and want to send it to someone else so that they can open
it at their end.

Use File>SaveAs, then access the Tools pulldown at the bottom of the dialog
and then click on General Options and remove the passwords, then click on OK
and then save the document.

Open the document using the password then set the password to nothing
(Office Button > Prepare > Encrypt Document) and resave it.
