How is the music inserted? If it is through Insert > Movies and Sounds, then
click Slide show > Custom Animation. Go to the slide where the music starts
playing. Look for a sound icon. Remove it.

If it is through slide transition, click Slide Show > Slide Transition.
Under modify transition, select the sound dropdown, and click [No Sound].

Try going to the slide where the music starts and look for a little speaker
icon which may be off slide (use a 25% view) Select and delete

OR look in the slide transition for that slide and in the sounds box choose
no sound.

See if that helps at all.

A little mistake here, clicking slide show > custom animation is unnecessary.
