Removing a DC from the domain when the actual server is no more

We have a DC that was stolen. The decision was made that it was not a box
that was serving any useful purpose, so it was never replaced. I have just
looked at the Directory Services log, and there are loads of replication
errors. How can I remove this DC from the active directory without an actual
box to demote and remove?

You need use ntdsutil to do a Metadata cleanup. Check out this easy to
