remove software programs...

I have tried to remove a program (Norton Antivirus 2003)
then installed Norton Antivirus 2004, but Norton
Antivirus 2003 still shows up in the add/remove program
list. Now I can't uninstall the live update or live reg.
programs form Norton. How do I get it removed from the
list and computer so I can move forward? Please help!!!

Hi Morgan,
This WORKS!

You need to completely cleanse your computer of all
remnants of Norton 2003 and any earlier version
installations that might have left remnants on your HDD.
Symantec has two utilities to help you do this. Read

Uninstalling Norton Internet Security or Personal
Firewall using the RnisUPG.exe removal utility

RnisUPG will not uninstall Norton Internet Security or
Norton Personal Firewall 2004 and will cause errors if it
is used for this purpose. If you want to uninstall Norton
Internet Security 2004, read the document Uninstalling
and reinstalling Norton Internet Security 2004.
