remove shrotcuts to uninstalled programs

B

Belinda

I use windows XP Pro. When I RIGHT click on Start to go
into Explorer, there are several programs listed on the
menu that I uninstalled ages ago. How can I get rid of
the reference to these programs? (I never placed them
there, they appeared randomly.) Also, when I get into
Explorer, there is an old reference to a Kodak camera I
uninstalled when my computer was running 98. It is listed
just below Control Panel in the files listings when they
are expanded. I cannot delete it. Thanks.

You can just select and delete them if u r sure that u have uninstalled the
softwares, but the shortcuts remained there.

This does not work or I wouldn't have asked such a simple
question. Kelly's answer was the one that worked.
