Hi,

I have Win XP SP3.

Is there a way to remove the Recycle Bin icon from the desktop.

Thanks,
Fred

Best thing to do (I think, therefore I did) is to right-click it,
choose properties, then make it hidden.

Pretty good trick ... but there's no option to hide the icon that way
(at least on my XP boxes). Use TweakUI from

Thanks for the good intentions. Nice to know you can do it on Vista.

I have Vista on my notebook, but that option doesn't show under Properties
on mine.
The way I had to do it was r-click the desktop, pick Personalize, then in
the Tasks pane pick Change desktop icons and uncheck Recycle Bin.
