Remove MSN Messenger

Just got SP2--reinstalled MSN Messenger--I have forgotten how to remove it.
How do I remove it?

If you want to remove MSN Messenger, select Add/Remove Programs in the
Control Panel, highlight MSN Messenger and then click the Remove button.

Thanks for the help--I went to Add/Remove from Control Panel and clicked on
Add/Remove Window's Components and unchecked "MSN Messenger." It's gone!

Er... that is not MSN Messenger, that is Windows Messenger. You did not
remove it, you just told it to remove the shortcut from the start menu. Look
under C:\Program Files\Messenger and it is still there. MSN Messenger is a
program that superceeds Windows Messenger and you have to download it
manually.

You are right, but that is what I wanted to happen--it does not annoy me
with popup messages anymore--it is gone from the TASKBAR near the clock.

Jerry did you get my post on how to remove windows messenger? I did what I
posted to you earlier and it removed it for me.
Any questions email me directly at:

Hmm, it may also tell windows to not allow access to the program when you did
what you did. Glad to hear it is no longer an issue!
