Need some help with removing AOL 8.0 from a new notebook computer that
it came pre-installed on. When I go to Add/Remove in Control Panel
and click on remove AOL 8.0, the uninstall program starts but shortly
returns an error that says "Can not find a copy of AOL 8.0 to
remove".
Of course AOL 8.0 is clearly installed as I can see its files and
folders. I even called the maker of the notebook and asked them.
They said they knew of the problem but were unaware of how to solve
it. They recommended I remove it manually. Can someone point me
to a manual method of removing the beast? I counted 353 registry
entries that would also have to be removed. Thanks. I know this is
a bit off topic.
