Removable media crashes on second connect

My Olympus Digi Camera shows up as a removable drive ok
when I first connect it. If I remove it then reconnect it.
It crashes on the SECOND connect. I have s dual boot on my
PC so I tried the same hardware (PC,USB,CAM,cable,etc)
under windows 98 and I can disconnect and reconnect the
usb over and over with NO crashes. I took the camera to my
PC @ work (also W2K) and it crashes too. It looks like it
is a BUG in Windows 2000 Pro. It doesn't matter if I
dismount the removable media or not either.

I've seen reference to this in a Microsoft Knowledge Base
article, but I can't find the article again. Am I the only one
who has problems finding stuff on the Microsoft site? Anyhow,
their suggestion was to Wait a few minutes after dismounting a
USB device before plugging it back in.
