my problem is after being on-line for approx. 10 mins.
my computer shuts down giving me 60 secs. to save work

and the message reads: windows must now resart because
the remote procedure call (R P C) service terminated
unexpectedly

please someone take pity on me

You should keep your anti-virus and critical windows updates current.

You likely have the Blaster virus. See:
