Do you have to have a moniter on the target computer to get a display on the
remote computer?

Are you asking if you must have a monitor conected to the computer you are
remoting to in order to see what would be displayed on a monitor (if it had
one) if you logged into said remote computer locally?

No - the remote computer does not have to have a monitor connected to it for
you to remote into it and use it like you were sitting in front of the
actual machine and using it *with* a monitor.

To add make sure the headless computer's BIOS is configured to *NOT* stop on
errors during bootup. You obviously must configure this in advance.
