remote desktop

i have a series of xp machines both at work and at home. im using a vpn
global client to try to access my work pc. i can access several of the other
pc's at work but not mine so i know the vpn works. i have sp2 on both pc's
with the firewall disabled i can also use the remote desktop from my work pc
to other pc's here but not vice versa.
i checked my ports and remote desktop is enabled using port 3389.
any suggestions? also im the admin guy so i cant go ask anybody else here

Try adding the port, open Control Panel > Windows Firewall > (Exceptions)
tab, > Add Port.
