Remote Desktop Logs off user when they reconnect

Hi

We have been having a problem with some user desktops. They are developers
and run a job on their desktop. Some time later generallly in the evening
from home they connect to their P.C. from home using VPN and Remote Desktop.

When they logon with their userid, it allows them to connect but stops all
running applications and appears that they have logged off and back on to
that machine. If the developer logs on within 1hour or so, the session is
re-established and the running job can be seen. If the logon is over 2hours
or so the sesion is broken and they relogon and the all applications stopped.

When I log on to my machine and several colleagues I reestablish my session
where I left off, and am basically unable to replicate the problem.

All test machines run XP SP2 have the same Group Policy and have the same
session settings for their User account, when I look in AD Users & Computers
advanced settings. All computers should be at the same patch level (we use
WSUS).

If anyone has come across this problem or has any suggestions I would
appreciate it.

Thanks

Ash
