remote desktop, local audio

I'm using remote desktop to connect to a headless workstation running
XP Pro. I don't want sound redirected, but instead played normally
through the remote machine's soundcard. The "Leave sound at server"
option doesn't help, as the normal sound drivers are not loaded by
Windows in the remote desktop session and the only choice in Control
Panel is "Microsoft RDP Audio Driver". Is there a way around this?

No. Remote Desktop makes all local system inoperable. (by design)
