Remote Desktop box is grey

Hi

Has anyone seen this before and can help me?
I have install the remote desktop but the tick box is greyed out. I tried to
install it again but then got at message saying that it was already installed
so I know it is there.

I am using XP SP1 and I think I have all the right permissions.

Hi,

Is this WinXP Pro? Are you logged in as an administrator?

Make sure you are logged on with Administrator privileges and try following this guide:

Hi

Yes I am logged in as Adminstrator but the box is still grey.
I have done everything I am suppose to do and I've even tried to install it
again but then got the message that it was already installed.

Hi

Thanks, it helped. I had seen the GPEDIT.msc thing before and it didn't help
because I didn't even have the entry there but the Regvalue setting did.
I changed the value to 0. The box is still grey but now it has a mark in it
and I can connect to the PC. Thanks agan all the way from Sweden.

Christina,

You're welcome (from India). If you want the option user manageable, remove
the fDenyTSConnections registry value altogether.

India, that is also far away.
Thanks again for the tip. I might remove the registry record.
