Remote Comport / USB over LAN

Hi,

I would like to control a device which is connected to a local host PC
through its USB/COMPORT, from another PC over the network.
Currently the device is managed by its local host PC using Hyper-Terminal.
Is there any built-in service which will enable this option?

No but something like this may work for you.

You connect the serial device to one of these.

Then use the supplied redirector to capture the pc's com port and send over
a specific TCP/IP address:port
