Mincing Micies over The Boardwalk of F of Q

Wacko Logitech mousers:

Have to remote keyboard/mouse setups, for two years rough age
discrepancy 'twixt.

One receiver, the newer, is a USB "dongle" appearing thingy, hardly
bigger than easier said lost.

The other is a "USB wired" rcx, sic from an integrated USB wire to a
recognizable, largely relatively receiver because Logitech's brazen
logo is, in part, upon it.

Together is where they get interesting.

I mix the olden mouse to one babe of a maddened touchpad Logitech
infinite wisdom apparently saw fit for designing.

The frequencies at which each receiver operates, however, are at
disparity;- lest forgetful of an unification aspect of Logitech's
newer dongles, as they don't in all situations unify.

The newer is better, though, as it does work, and well, omni-
directionally over and by dint of ranges far superceding what may IR
ranges familiarly comport.

Caveat being there's a hint of cross-talk between devices, say, when I
added, viz USB routing, a remote sound-effects fox for a redundant
computer program to virtually duplicate the physical box controls.

Whereupon I then effectively lose or only have partial control of the
older mouse, which exhibits markedly aberrant behaviorism.

Back to newer being better. What I'll attempt is to place the brunt
of an onus on the omni-directional aspect, taxing that range through
the MB's backplane USB connectors, and save the front case panel's USB
connectors for the effects box.

Stay tuned for further deevoloupements.

Cordless anything is bad. Whether Wi-Fi or mouse infra-red or anything short of a mobile phone outside.

I always prefer a cord.

Hm... I'd agree, except for the coffee table and versatility of videos
and films. Not much more than an extension to the old television
remotes to save walking across the room to turn on and tune in.

Nor quite up to speed with wireless routers, interoperability/
integration, various remotes for dedicated or general streaming
entertainment service connects. (Still carrying around the ol' handy-
dandy USB flashstick or an occasional book in hand.)

WiFi can be a real bitch but if done right, you can easily stream without
hickup 1080p video. I do it regularly from my NAS to my upstairs LG 55" 3D
Smart TV. WIreless N can be done well, especially if you use a dual radio
Router

I find myself very fond of my M570 trackballs. Wireless, bluetooth.

Stupidity strikes again when I assumed the older IR mouse receiver/
transmitter adequately in position for line-of-sight operation when,
in fact, it wasn't far enough situated forward on a narrow steel plate
three foot higher and four foot distance from a coffee-table mouse.

The newer receiver/transmitter still holds true, though, for a non-LOS
device (used by the keyboard and it's integrated, less than friendly
touchpad mouse). May not be bluetooth, nor can't say what are its
inherent frequency limitations, only that it does blows an IR signal
out of the water by all other practical considerations. (About the
size of four stacked dimes and presently plugged into the back of the
computer, facing away from everything. I was looking for the cheapest
workable keyboard starting at hand- and ending at mini-form size
factors. Not exactly what I call a burgeoning market, more the pits,
so I jumped on a reasonably priced/sale on mini-form from a premier
maker I considered Logitech. Adequate, but far from the wow-factor of
some Logitech products I've owned.)

I have the opposite view, Ray. I dislike wires running anywhere between
me and the screen. I also have 2 separate systems (Logitech and Targus)
which don't seem to interfere with each other.
