remote assistance problems

ok i'm trying to get remote assistance to allow another person to show me how
to use some software. It has worked previosly on this computer and works on
all other computers within the network. Though now it states when i try to
send the invitation that remote assistance has failed and to try again. Could
someone please tell me how to fix this.

I wish I could help but I'm actually having a similar problem. I'm trying to
use Remote Assistance to help my father. We both use Outlook, he has a
Comcast email and I have a Hotmail email. When he tries to send me a request
it indicates we must use a MAPI-compliant email (which we are by way of
Outlook) or use Messenger. We are not using a network but are trying simply
work over the internet together. Can anyone help "Persie" and I?

Are you trying this through MSN Messenger? That has worked well for me.

ok this might help though i just in the middle of doing it so i am unsure but
have a look,

and i have used outlook and windows messenger aswell as trying to save the
file on the computer none of these methods have worked.
