Release Candidate of Windows XP SP3 made public

Uncle Grumpy

You no longer need to be a beta tester to get Windows XP Service Pack 3.

You're a ****ing moron.

"This pre-release software is provided for testing purposes only.
Microsoft does not recommend installing this software on primary or
mission critical systems. Microsoft recommends that you have a backup
of your data prior to installing any pre-release software."

But you do still need to be aware that this isn't final release code, and
you do still need to read the not-so-fine print:

"This pre-release software is provided for testing purposes only. Microsoft
does not recommend installing this software on primary or mission critical
systems. Microsoft recommends that you have a backup of your data prior to
installing any pre-release software."

In other words, if you value your data, save it first, or don't install
this, and if you have to rely on one system and need it to run properly,
don't install it at all.
