Reinstalling SP2 when I have only the original CD

Because of a problem I'm having (posted in the General Discussion forum), I
suspect I'll have to reinstall Windows. I upgraded to SP2 a long time ago,
but the CD I have is from my original installation. Is there a legitimate
way for me to get hold of an SP2 installation disc so I can save myself the
pain of installing Windows then upgrading?

Thanks,

You need to create a "slipstreamed" installation CD.

Create a Slip Stream version of Windows XP

Here are some of the files you'll need to obtain in order to
follow this procedure:

Professionals and Developers

In case you don't have a broadband connection, you can order
Windows XP Service Pack 2 on CD here.

Integrate the Service pack and most Post-SP2 updates into your installation
media, write a new CD (bootable) with it all on it, then you have your CD,
updated, to utilize as you see fit.

Google for "slipstream SP2 into Windows XP".
