Reinstallation problem

John

Hi all.
Hope you can help with this problem i'm having.
Due to a large number of spyware programs and a lot of
other Software prblems i decided to completely reinstall
XP and remove all the files i have stored.
However when i reinstall i find that i still have the
same amount of space on my C drive. and that all of the
programs i had in my previous install are still intact,
therefore not solving my problem.
Obviously i'm doing something wrong but after 3 attempts
i can't figure out what it is.
Hope someone can help.

If by "completely reinstall XP and remove all the files i have stored" you
mean that you want to completely and permanently erase your hard disk and
re-install Windows and all your other software, then update them and
reconfigure them all over again, then restore your own files from backup and
deal with any glitches that might occur along the way, see here:

"Clean Install Windows XP"

After you're done, you might want to read this:

"Protect Your PC"
