regsvr32.exe seems inactive

I installed a new DVD burner in my computer. My program
stopped working. I put DLL's files over the regsvr32.exe
file and pop up window confirmed register was successful.
I double click on the program icon and pop up window
say,"Unable to
bind to the engine DLL's, application must now exit.". I
went to the windows/system32 and the regsvr32.exe icon
looked like the default "inactive" icon. What can I do?

Well, if you get a messagebox saying that COM registration was successful,
then there is nothing wrong with regsvr32. You can confirm this by invoking
it at the command line.

Sounds like the installation of the DVD burner and the problems you're
having with your program might be unrelated. In any case, uninstall and
then reinstall your program.
