Registry data recovery message

I read thru the other 2 registry questions and they do not appear to be the
same issue I am having, mine is more of a nusiance so far but here goes the
question. We recently took my Gateway into the PC shop since ever since we
had gotten it It frequently gave me the blue screen and had been running very
very slow for hte past year. When we got it back after the techie
reinstalled WIndows XP, he said we most likely had a bad copy of it and that
was causing many issues. It seemed to clear up the speed issue and the blue
screens (none since then) but now every time I turn on the computer I get the
message "One of the files containing the system's Registry data had to be
recovered by use of a log or alternate copy. The recovery was successful."
I click of the ok and the computer "seems" to run ok the message is a pain
would like to get rid of it and also am wondering if this is going to bite me
in teh back side later. Anything I can do to fix this? Thanks to anyone out
there who can here as it is almost all "greek" to me....

There is controversy over softwares and freewares that optimize and defrag
registries. But I have always had a favorable response to optimizing and
defrag my registry regularly, especially after uninstalling softwares. I
use several cleaners, as i clean my registry from a variety of perspectives.

But basically, I would suggest a couple of pretty good ones that you can
use:

CCleaner from FileHippo.com
NTRegOpt from ???
and PageDfg from sysinternal.com
ERunt from ??? creates a manual backup of your registry amd store them in a
folder, whereas you can restore only the registry when you want to.....

Also, there is software like systemmechanic that provides a multitude of
methods to optimize your pc and keep it running smoothly...
