I am running Windows 2000. All of a sudden I began
getting a message that my laptop could not find

Cut this and paste it into a text document. Name
it "LovgateKiller.reg". Run it to clean Lovgate and
Wingate.
Reboot, download Symantec's cleaning tool and run it.
Then update your antivirus definitions and do a total
system scan.
