Yes, on the workstation create a Local Printer,
Select 'Create New Port Type" then select Local Port when
it askes you to name the port put the UNC path of the
shared printer as the name.

You might also look at the "net use" command. I have been
successful at redirecting and capturing printer ports for
old DOS programs using it. For an application that only
supports Lpt1, Lpt2 or Lpt3 this works pretty good. As I
recall once you get the command working the way you want
it holds its redirection even if the workstation is
rebooted.
