Outlook Redemption .dll Needs outlook as default client ?

Hi All,

I am Using Redemption.dll in my VB instead of ASMAPISEC.dll for outlook related functions.If Outlook is made as default client , then my application is working correctly.If its not set as default client , then Redemption.SafemailItem Object is not getting created. Creating SafemailItem object is itself failing.

So whether its mandatory that outlook should be made as default client for the redemption.dll to work ?
