Red "X" on top of my digital camera pics icon

I have a cooicam 300 emovi digital camera. When I open
the scanner and camera wizard it has me go on to download
my pictures from my camera when I try to view the
pictures it shows a box for each pic on the camera with a
red X inside it and beneath it says "DOWNLOADING" when I
click next to copy the pics nothing happens. Oh I stand
corrected the only thing that does happen is the program
freezes. I have to close it through task mgr and even
when i do that it takes quite a few times. Then when I
try to do it again either my camera doesn't show or if it
does the camera says o pictures. That's if the camera is
still there. Can anyone help me with this problem. It's
consuming my life. I've spoken to the mfg and e machines
support and one says it's a microsoft problem and the
says something about svc pack 2. Please help me get my
life back!
Thanks,
Renee
