Recycle Bin

I have received the error message 'The Recycle Bin on C:\ Is Corrupt or
Invalid. Do You Want to Empty the Recycle Bin for this drive? I clicked
Yes. Now when I delete a file and send it to the Recycle Bin, it doesn't
show up in the Bin. How do I correct this problem? I have XP Home Service
Pack 2.

I appreciate the reply. I have already seen the reference and already have
Service Pack 2 installed on my machine. The reference states that the
installation of the service pack should fix the problem. What do I do?
Reinstall SP2 and if so, how? I am not an advanced user but can follow
detailed instructions. Please advise.

I'm also getting this error on several machines on our network. We are
running XP Pro SP2 on our workstations, and recently migrated to a new
network. I'm not sure how many users it's affecting but I do know that it's
intermittant. The knowledge base article linked in the previous reply does
address this issue, but says that the fix is to download the Service Pack,
which doesn't apply as these machines are already running SP2 and are current
with updates and security patches.
