Recovery Console on VAIO VGC-RA830G

Has anyone tried to run the Windows Recovery Console on a Sony VAIO
VGC-RA830G Media Center PC?

When I try to run the RC I get a blue stop screen. When I run the RC from
CD, I go directly to the C: prompt. If I type a DIR command, I get the error
message that the floppy drive has no disk.

From Windows MCE Device Manager, I see 4 Sony USB devices and a Volume 0
listed under Disk Drives. It appears there is some sort of USB drive array
that prevents me from access the hard drive before Windows loads the OS.

Sony tech support was no help. Anyone have any thoughts?

I am trying to make a registry hack to enable my MCE computer to join a
domain and this requires that I change some system files before the OS loads.

I found the RAID drivers and loaded them when starting the Recovery Console
and everything worked great.
