I just started to "wipe" a partition using bootit ng, about 2 seconds
into the operation I hit cancel because I realized I didn't back up my
..pst file with outlook emails *doh*. I tried using the "undelete"
option in bootit ng to no avail. I now have an unallocated 42gb space
that used to house my .pst file, a 32gb partition that has XP
installed, and an 8gb partition w/ bootit installed. Hopefully I can
get to my .pst file. I tried "recover my files" software but this
couldn't find my .pst file. Any suggestions on the best software for
DIY data recovery? Anything special I need to know about getting to
files stored in users docs/settings folders when trying to get at them
when not booted into the OS that originally housed them (can I even see
all of the users files when browsing from another partition w/ windows
installed?). Thanks for your help!
