Lost PST file in file transfer

Hi, any help would be much appreciated in getting back my PST file. I
recently reformatted my harddrive and used the file and settings transfer
wizard to save all my files. Everything has been successfully reinstated
except my Outlook Pst file.

This is really important to me, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did it get copied in the first place?

If it was restored and just not connected - no problem.
If it was not restored - problem.

I dont know if the Outlook .pst was copied, I created a file using the "Files
and settings transfer wizard", which copies all the files from a drive into a
single file. Is the .pst file excluded by the wizard in this process?

The .pst certainly has not been restored as my Outlook is totally empty!
What would you recommend?

In the worst case scenario, I have my old hard drive at hand so I could use
that, but its a couple of months out of date.
